General Palmer Hotel Durango Colorado

The General Palmer Hotel was a welcome place to rest our heads during our stay in Durango.

General Palmer Hotel in Durango Colorado

The General Palmer is located in downtown Durango close to the train station where the Durango Silverton Railway departs. As you can see in this video I shot from the second floor balcony of the train leaving the station:

The hotel is decorated in a Victorian theme and offers many quaint features to make your stay a memorable one. The old fashioned manual elevator that guests operated was one of my favorite things.

My wife’s favorite part the stay at the General Palmer Hotel was the teddy bear waiting for us in our room.
