Travel has taught me that everything is ordinary and everything is a a wonder. What do I mean by that?
The buildings in this photo of Tours, France, are hundreds of years old. Older than the United States. The fact that they have stood the test of time and today they are just ordinary everyday buildings used but the demands of the day is fascinating to me.
In the US if a building is over 50 years old you can probably find someone who wants to slap a historical designation on it and preserve it just as is for the foreseeable future. This is why the ancient buildings of Europe fascinated me.
