Do perfect travel pants exist? Recently KÜHL sent us both a pair to try out but do they fit the bill of perfect travel pants?

Joyce tried the Freeflex Roll-up Pant in the color flint and found them to be extremely comfortable. She enjoys wearing them around the house and thinks they look good in many situations that might arise while traveling. These pants work well for activities such as hiking or dining out, making them great travel pants. Additionally, the option to roll them up and secure them with a snap is perfect for warmer destinations.
Despite these positives, Joyce did find one major drawback with these pants: they do not have a good pocket for her phone. Unfortunately, none of the pockets are large enough to completely secure her phone. As travel pants, this is a significant issue and has left Joyce still searching for the “perfect travel pants.”
I chose the RADIKL (color:carbon) because they claim to be a cross between sweatpants and tough trail pants, and they lived up to that claim. The RADIKL pants are very comfortable and lightweight. Time will tell though if they live up to their toughness claims but they are one of the most comfortable hiking pants I’ve ever had.
Though I must admit I also found the pockets to be a bit small for my phone. There is a designated phone pocket but it is not deep enough that I trust my phone in it. Most likely I’ll carry my phone in the back pocket (which is not ideal) or in a pack or jacket.
Overall the KÜHL pants are a great addition to our travel wardrobe and we look forward to many adventures with them.
