While we were visiting Victoria Falls we decided to splurge on a helicopter tour of that falls and even though it was outside our trip’s budget it was well worth it. From the air we were able to really see how the falls fit into the landscape and just how unique they are.

The Bulawayo Club in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, was a fascinating place for me to visit. It was like a museum with intending to be a museum. A place that was still very much Rhodesia.
A visit to the Bulawayo Club in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe is a visit to another era. Though the club is still used today for events I would guess many of the decor has been in place since the 1930’s. If you find yourself in Bulawayo do yourself a favor and stop in for a look around.
We took the train from Bulawayo to Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe in 2013. It was a great experience though the train is not in the best of shape these days. But a private room only cost us $24.
