Tower Hill Sugar Factory
This photo was taken in May of 2013 from a boat on the New River near Orange Walk Town, Belize. We were headed up the river to the ruins of the Mayan city, Lamania.
Our tour was arranged through our hotel, the Hotel de la Fuente. (A top notch hotel BTW.) The tour started in the morning near the hotel and we headed up the river with our guide, Nacho. All in all it was a great day and we would highly recommend the tour as an interesting way to see the ruins. Our guide was not the best as it seems he was quite bored with giving this tour day in and day out but it was still worth it.
