When we moved from the western coast of Mexico to the eastern side, there was a theme with the trees that continued as we moved south – a lot of things were growing up there. Sure, I know trees are ecosystems within themselves, but usually for a few nesting birds and some insects. In this region, the plentiful moisture and variety of plant life takes the concept of a tree as an entire ecosystem in itself to a new level.
